The Problem we are addressing
Youth Unemployment and Underemployment – Youth unemployment and underemployment are pressing global challenges, with young people often disproportionately affected by economic downturns and labour market volatility. These challenges not only affect individuals’ financial stability but also hinder their long-term career progression and contributions to economic growth.
Educational Inequities – Educational inequities remain a barrier for many young people, particularly those from marginalized communities. Additionally, access to advanced educational opportunities such as Advanced Placement (AP) courses or STEM programs is often limited in underserved schools, disproportionately affecting minority students.
Social Exclusion and Marginalization – Social exclusion continues to impact young people, particularly those from minority groups or economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Youth from these groups often face systemic barriers that hinder their social and economic mobility.
Youth Mental Health Challenges – Youth mental health is an escalating concern, with anxiety, depression, and stress significantly affecting young people’s well-being and development. Social isolation, economic hardship, and academic pressures exacerbate these mental health challenges, underscoring the need for systemic approaches to support youth in navigating these difficulties.
Our Solution
IB Legacy Inc. aims to address these critical challenges by implementing holistic, youth-centred programs that focus on leadership development, skill-building, and career readiness. Through mentorship and targeted workshops, participants will gain the confidence and competencies necessary to overcome educational disparities and employment barriers.
